From Pixels to Fine Art

From Pixels to Fine Art is a one-day workshop presenting practical techniques for making stunning digital prints from your scans or digital camera files. Despite the best in technology, many digitally produced prints have a harsh overworked look and lack the power and authenticity of traditional processes. Tim Handfield shares his experience in making collectable exhibition prints taking advantage of the best quality that digital technologies have to offer whilst retaining the beauty and subtlety of the traditional photographic print. From Pixels to Fine Art is as much about the conceptual and aesthetic aspects of digital printing as it is about the technical, and is equally relevant for photographers producing their own prints or working with a professional laboratory.
