Ronald Woolf

The Ronald Woolf Memorial Trust was established in 1988 in recognition of the contribution to photography by the late Ronald Woolf.

The aims of the Trust include

1. The awarding of grants to young photographers (under age 30 at the closing date for receipt of applications for a grant) to further their education in the study of photography.
2. The promotion of the Ronald Woolf Youth Award (awarded by the Photographic Society of New Zealand) and photographic exhibitions by young photographers.
3. The provision of financial assistance to photographic clubs and organisations at primary, secondary and tertiary education levels.

In awarding grants, Trustees consider

For Individual applicants

Applicants who demonstrate: artistic promise combined with an aptitude for the techniques required and who show serious intent; an enthusiasm to explore their creative talents through the medium of photography.

For organisations

The benefit the grant will provide young people with or through the median of photography.
