Ronald Woolf
The Ronald Woolf Memorial Trust was established in 1988 in recognition of the contribution to photography by the late Ronald Woolf.
The aims of the Trust include
- The awarding of grants to young photographers (under age 30 at the closing date for receipt of applications for a grant) to further their education in the study of photography.
- The promotion of the Ronald Woolf Youth Award (awarded by the Photographic Society of New Zealand) and photographic exhibitions by young photographers.
- The provision of financial assistance to photographic clubs and organisations at primary, secondary and tertiary education levels.
In awarding grants, Trustees consider
- For Individual applicants
- Applicants who demonstrate: artistic promise combined with an aptitude for the techniques required and who show serious intent; an enthusiasm to explore their creative talents through the medium of photography.
- For organisations
- The benefit the grant will provide young people with or through the median of photography.
