Four Nations
The Four Nations Competition is an Inter-Society digital image competition organized annually between New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Canada.
The Four Nations are
- Photographic Society of New Zealand
- Australian Photographic Society
- Photographic Society of South Africa
- Canadian Association of Photographic Art
This year’s Four Nations Competition is all go and will be organized by the Photographic Society of South Africa.
PSNZ members are invited to submit a maximum of two (2) images for consideration for entry to this competition. We will endeavour to select one image from each of 100 PSNZ members to make up a PSNZ entry of 100 digitally projected photographs.
Last year our set of 100 images were placed 3rd after the South African and Australian sets. Two of our images were placed right next to the two highest award winners of the competition out of the 400 images judged.
Although it is the Society that has the highest aggregate score that wins this competition, there will be a PSSA Gold Medal for the single highest scoring image and a certificate for the runner up. Last year the highest award went to a member of the Australian Photographic Society and the runner up to a member of the Photographic Society of South Africa.
There will also be five Bronze medals presented by PSNZ for the highest scoring images from the PSNZ set.
